I don’t know about you but I’m a sucker for long 10 step skincare routines and it’s the ME time I crave for, with my hectic full time marketing role I cannot stress enough on how much I look forward to weekends.
Weekends are when our skin finally gets a break from long days, stress, and constant exposure. It’s the perfect time to slow down, listen to your skin, and give it a little extra attention.
Take a pause and think about how you decided on what serum, what moisturiser or what sunscreen should you use for your daily skincare routine? It was all decided based on your skin concern or skin type, probably, you discovered you had dry and dehydrated skin and you chose products that would work well with that or perhaps your dermatologist or your favorite skinfluencer guided you on what works best for your specific skin type or concern.
Just the way you have a set routine based on skin type and skin concern for the weekdays, your weekend skincare is no different. The key is to start with identifying your target concern and follow steps that would be intentional and effective. Which is why after a lot of research and understanding of different skincare tools and products I have developed 9 weekend skincare routines that target specific skin concerns. Here’s a quick sneak peek of the 9 skin concerns that we are going to be talking about. I’m going to keep it straightforward and get into each routine explaining when you should opt for it and the steps to the same.

Skincare isn’t about doing every single step perfectly or following what everyone else is doing. It’s really about noticing what your skin feels like and giving it what it needs that day. Your skin changes with sleep, stress, weather, and even what you eat, so it makes sense to adjust your routine instead of sticking to the same steps every week.
Weekends are the best time to slow down a bit. Some weekends your skin might want a deep clean, other times it might just need hydration or a calming mask. Listen to it, pick what feels right, and don’t worry about doing everything at once.
You don’t have to try all nine routines every week. Choose one, enjoy the process, and make it something you actually look forward to. Think of it as a small ritual for yourself, not a checklist. When you relax and take your time, your skin shows it.
So next weekend, put your phone down, play your favorite music, and spend a little time with your 10 step skincare routine.
